Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology is a 3D printing technology that uses metal powder for direct printing of metal objects.
Available Printing Materials: Stainless Steel 316-L
Maximum Print Dimensions: 160mm*160mm*100mm
Accuracy: Extremely Good
Implementation time: 4-7 days

A major advantage of this technology is the ability to produce metal parts with great complexity, which otherwise might not have been possible to manufacture. For example, this impeller can be tested and built that would be very time and material intensive otherwise.

Topology-Optimized Pieces

Losing weight using topology-optimized pieces is another area where this technology helps and a way to use these parts is a low quantity production since traditional metal processes cannot make these parts. Example applications would be for race cars and aerospace.

Other Applications

Alternative different uses of the printer and the specific technology, fall into categories such as medicine for the manufacture of parts and tools, metal parts for small production, dentistry, and anything that requires to be created with great freedom in the complexity of the design.

Example part cost:  (show a part with dimensions and give a cost for qty of 1)
